About The Center for Economic Empowerment & Development

The Center for Economic Empowerment & Development (CEED), formerly known as the Women’s Center of Fayetteville, was founded May 20th, 1990 as the result of the vision and determination of a small group of Fayetteville women who recognized the demand for a facility where the information on community services could be collected and distributed to our community. This group of women realized these services should complement each other, not compete with each other and that a network of these helping agencies was vital to our community.

From the initial start in 1990, we have grown as a non-profit organization. All the programs within CEED serve as a regional resource and advocacy center for women and families, enabling restoration of personal dignity through economic empowerment and development. We are dedicated to helping women and families help themselves and find their own strength to sucCEED!

CEED is dedicated to providing the resources necessary for individuals to make informed financial decisions, creating economic stability & growth. The program serves the diverse needs of our community ensuring everyone has the opportunity to achieve financial well being, security & systemic change.

Our mission has always been to promote the growth, productiveness and well-being through counseling, education, information, and advocacy programs.
